Liam, with the greatest respect, they weren't on the brink of a relegation battle in their first season either. Look at our away record this season and the upcoming away games and realise that we're going to be in the thick of it.

We're not in a relegation battle, we're chasing a European place.

Champions league

this made me laugh ,you seem to be back to your good old panicky way.

Highlighted this part for your attention Lee, then come back with a comment on how many teams, keeping in mind recent form, we can beat.

i have nothing to disagree with what you are saying about our away form but i would say getting between 6-7 points out of the away fixtures left and allso what points we may get at home WILL NOT put us into the thick of a relegation battle.

Did you not realise before you came that the so called BEST fans in the world have no idea how to support there team?

or

Do you not realise that in todays society we NEED everything NOW or its unsatisfactory? How dare you ever be given time to do things - Ferguson, Moyes and O'Neill won EVERY trophey in their first season!
Moyes has NEVER won anything, has he? Not in his first season, not in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th.

I'm going to shock you and agree with your point about Svens start, but in my books Hughes is rightfully under pressure. 1 win in all away games so far and unfortunately facing some really hard tests in the not too distant future? He's lost more than 50% of his games, he's only drawn four times and recent form has been his saving grace and papers over the cracks really.

I just hope that Hughes is simply being 'used' to keep us up and then we'll move onto a bigger and better manager who will get this ship sailing more smoothly. First interview question 'Can you win us a few away games now and again?'

Maybe sacking MH does take us back to square one, but there's no point persisting with him if he hasn't got the qualities we need for him to drive us forward.

What you've got to understand though is that the squad is all over the place.

Number - Player - Managers
1 Joe Hart - Pearce, Sven, Hughes
2 Micah Richards - ditto
3 Michael Ball - ditto
4 Nedum Onuoha - Keegan, Pearce, Sven, Hughes
5 Pablo Zabaleta - Hughes
6 Michael Johnson - Pearce Sven Hughes
7 Stephen Ireland - ditto
8 Shaun Wright-Phillips - Royle, Keegan, Pearce, Hughes
9 Valeri Bojinov - Sven, Hughes
10 Robinho - Hughes
11 Elano - Sven, Hughes
12 Darius Vassell - Pearce, Sven, Hughes
15 Javier Garrido - Sven, Hughes
16 Kasper Schmeichel - Keegan, Pearce, Sven, Hughes
17 Martin Petrov - Sven, Hughes
18 Danny Mills - Keegan, Pearce, Sven
19 Gelson Fernandes - Sven, Hughes
20 Felipe Caicedo - ditto
21 Dietmar Hamann - Pearce, Sven, Hughes
22 Richard Dunne (captain) Royle, Keegan, Pearce, Sven, Hughes
24 Ched Evans - Sven, Hughes
25 Wayne Bridge - Hughes
27 Benjani Mwaruwari - Sven, Hughes
28 Daniel Sturridge - Pearce, Sven, Hughes
29 Kelvin Etuhu - Sven, Hughes
30 Shaleum Logan - ditto
33 Vincent Kompany - Hughes
34 Nigel de Jong - Hughes
36 Gláuber - ?
37 Shay Given - Hughes
39 Craig Bellamy - Hughes

And potentially, your asking to put another manager on the end of all these players? How on earth are they supposed to gel when they can't get used to the way the manager runs the club?

Hughes IS rightfully under pressure, but he would be unfairly dismissed as it stands.

Well no, he hasn't, but I bet you'd say he's a better manager than Hughes. Everton have been successful in their own right, they've built a great squad with no outside investment.

Look at our performances and the fixtures ahead.

Apart from ONE or TWO games where we have played well, we have been absolutely diabolical all season.

But no, the Hughes lovers on here think he's great. Give him time, give him time you say. So we do, but then you say give him more time and then some.

Well, it gets to a point when he's had too much time and should just fuck off and for me, that was over 2 months ago.

Even losing every away game from now to the end of the season we'll finish 7th on the strength of our home form. Do the bbc predictor if you don't believe me.
