if your wtchn on the tv your a ****

To be honest I was dissapointed with the turnout tonight, that being said I live in South Wales and I didn't go this evening. With work and and other comitments its pretty impossible to get up to midweek games. I'm sure alot of people are in the same boat.

Funny song though :)

"I thought it was a good spontaneous song. Nothing more, nothing less. I think there was a sense around the ground tonight that we had been let down by the fans who are happy to go to Villa midweek but can't be bothered with the UEFA Cup.

For people that didn't go it is their loss and the atmosphere was probably better without them anyway, there were certainly fewer moaners there tonight."

If that was aimed at me, lets get one thing straight.
I certainly am not a moaner. I just cannot afford to go to every City game, but that does NOT mean I am any less of a city fan than anyone else. I read the first post and
it was a veiled dig at anyone who did not go.

why does everything have to be aimed at you?!?!? no fucker knows who you are!!!

on another note, tonight brought a new meaning to "were not really here" ;)

It wasn't aimed at anyone. Just telling it as I see it.

There has been a massive overreaction to it on here. I heard a lot of people saying how frustrated they were that we have wanted to be in Europe for years and now we are there and progressing well the attendances are so low. The song came from that frustration, I don't think it was a scathing attack on people who weren't there.

People are free to choose to go to all the games or none of them or maybe just some. I just find it hard to understand how the attendance can be so much lower than midweek against Villa. I've yet to hear a convincing reason why that is and have concluded that many people just don't give a toss about the UEFA Cup. I'm not that bothered about the small crowd but can't get my head round it.

What the fuck are you talking about? Ive been on this site for a while and I have never been so animated about a thread. Ask anyone, its NEVER been about me...until now. Sorry mate, but this thread was just a bit too personal. I'll remind you of the title...."if your watching on the tv your an arse".....As far as IM concerned you meant me and others. Apologise if you want....doubt you will though.

If you live in South Wales. Do not worry about it. It is the locals who let us down tonight.

I think I'll move to South Wales, That will give me an valid excuse, and I'll be a REAL City fan at long last....

Too right they did. I cannot believe the attendance tonight. Absolutely pathetic. Some of the clowns I here and see on this site moaning about how we might not qualify for Europe next year, so what?! Nobody turns up anyway! And as for that clown moaning about us singing the song tonight, it wasn't arse we were singing, arse is far too mild for the part time tv watching dicks that couldn't even be bothered to turn up tonight. How long is it since we've had a run in Europe? I can't remember and I'm 33! Oh well, at least well have 40,000 against Sunderland in a meaningless premier league game next week. I used to think we were the best fans in the league. We had more in the 2nd division than we did tonight. Sorry for ranting, but I think it's disgusting.

By the way, The gig cost me 30 quid all told, I bet some of you spent more than that on pies and programmes....TOSSERS

This is the most offensive post in this thread - i dont care who went or who didnt (some idiots say i am not a proper blue as i am not from Manchester, i dont need to prove why i SUPPORT my team - i just do) i have only been home 45 mins as its a fuck of a journey on the M6... I have a season ticket, have for years, i pay more to see City than most in petrol alone... i miss some games as circumstance dictates, doesnt make me any less blue or passionate... thats why i dont care why others did or didnt go... i just wish more had as it was the best atmosphere of the season IMO (felt like the old days in div 2 in many ways)

However, to slag off blues for going, and putting money into the club is just wrong... must be a RAG

Does it not occur to you that people all over the country are losing their jobs/houses ect?
You, and everyone else concerned with petty things like the size of city's crowd need to get you head from out of your arse. Great, we won. Lets leave it at that.

Its a lot easier to get to COMS if you live local, South Wales is 200 miles away.
I do not get your point.
Do you Know where South Wales is?
A REAL City fan would understand, you patronising twat.

Who slagged off who?- prick!
I noticed you got it in first...about how your a season ticket holder !
Bully for you, you tit.
I will not be told I ain't a proper blue, just because I can't afford to go....

Yes ok, people are struggling. I went tonight with my brother who's been out of work for weeks but thought tonight game was more important than a premier league game, and I tend to agree. So I'll take my head out of my arse and yes, as I thought, it's still embarassing. No matter how u dress it up and make excuses, 24,000 is still pathetic. Guarenteed if it was a champions league game tonight it would have been sold out. The people who turned up tonight are our hardcore fans. The ones who will turn up no matter what. To me, there is no excuse and as I said, there will be another 16,000 there against Sunderland. Where were they, in our biggest game of the season in my opinion, tonight?

Ha ha who wrote this???

"By the way, The gig cost me 30 quid all told, I bet some of you spent more than that on pies and programmes....TOSSERS"

you did you sad fuck... you slagged off City fans for going and supporting their team or in your world isnt the word tosser an insult??? There is a word for people who slag off blues for going - RAG

Read the whole post you moron and you will see i said i dont care who went or who didnt... you arent a blue cause you are attacking those who did go...

If you didnt saw off your balls and sell em on ebay, or pimp out your daughter, to afford a ticket, you are a rag. Full stop.

For christ sakes it was a game against Aalborg not a Cup Final or a half-attended Derby game, people have other priorities in life than see City play against a team theyve never heard of before. Its great were in Europe but until were through to teams like Marseille then noones going to take much notice, thats just the reality of it. Like it or not.
If you dont then go find a team whom EVERYONE goes to every game day in and day out. Because you obviously wont be satisfied until you get 47,000 people in the ground, and even then you'll complain about something like how silent it is or why people are wearing trainers to Football matches.

Elanjo, spot on son! Guarenteed these part timers will sell there mums for a ticket in Istanbul. I only hope it goes on loyalty points for going to urfa cup games!
