if your wtchn on the tv your a ****

I would have loved to have gone last night but I live outside Manchester, I have a job and a very young family.

I'm no cnut, I just couldn't get to the game.

I love City, and I admire and am jealous of those that made it to the game.

We are all Blues, can't we just accept that those that can get to games do so, and the others offer support where and when they can.

The days of standing in The Kippax were fantastic. In those days my only responsibility was getting my arse home in one piece after the match, but life moves on.

you will all want to go if we get to the final. i recomend tickets are given to those who have been away in europe first this season. followed by season ticket holders who have been to all home matches.

in taking some time off from this thread, tired of all the justifications

im sure i will see many in istanbul, and those who can't get tickets, tough shit

best fans in the world? not even in manchester nowadays

I've supported City and being going to matches since the mid seventies and I'm certainly not going to get apologetic for missing some matches for whatever the circumstances.

As for Istanbul, I'm on holiday at that time so I wouldn't be going anyway.

For years and years I've arranged and re-arranged my life around the fixture list. Not anymore, I've been let down too many times.

If we win the trophy I won't be any less excited when I'm getting pissed in paradise.

Walshy

Ignore the snipers - I was dismayed at the low attendance but people have to remember there is a credit crunch on - Don't throw back the Villa game (Majority of those there were probably season ticket holders - Ticket was already paid for)

We should be encouraging our fans not having a go all the time - There's enough Man U b@st@rds on here to do that.

20th place. we need to make season tickets include all cup games next season.

I don't think that's such a bad idea. BUT, you shouldn't be forced to buy cup tickets.

They should offer the option of paying an additional fee (depending on what cup competitions we're in) and activating season cards for all games.

Then, depending on how far we progress in the cup, it could be a significant discount on cup tickets if paid for in bulk at the start of the season.

Would it work? Not sure.

Two things. 1. I dont reckon we'll get to the final. 2. I bet we dont even sell out if we do.

Why only to the away legs - I would love to go to the away legs (been to all the home games) but can't afford to

As i said before WHY CAN'T WE ALL STICK TOGETHER - THE ENEMY IS ACROSS TOWN AT THE SWAMP - NOT OUR OWN FANS FFS !!!!

Personally i was gutted witht the attendance last night but for me I was there so fuck it, we'll soon see everyone else turn up for the qtrs/semi's!

Another song i heard last nite and is a tribute to our personalities was ......

"we've won it 3 times, we've won it 3 tiiiiiiimmmmessss, the Thomas Cook trophy, we've won it 3 times ....."

Piss funny !!!!

the attendance of 24,000 is a bit of a Joke considering its our only chance of winning a trophy after all these years and its the last 16. Seriously, I dont think some City fans want us to win this thing. I thought 38,000 was bad for the quarter final of the FA Cup against West Ham but last night was shocking.

All the excuses have come out in work today. Examples. I didnt finish work until 6.30 (I work in town) made me laugh.
It was £25 - buy early it was £20. They'll spend more than that in the pub on Saturday night.
One lad said "I should have gone really, after seeing all them empy seats" haha this was the best one.

Seriously though I think we have seen the hardcore at these UEFA Cup matches this year. Out of the 24,000 last night I wonder how many of them were there against Walsall, Reading and Colchester at home in the old Division 2. Give or take a few id say probably about 85%
