If you're in Colin Bell stand 126 to 131 for Arsenal - pls help!

I am in128 not far from front (been in seat since we moved here!) usually get good view of the kids on pitch and the corporate guests...... I will try and video it for you as best I can - cannot promise but will set a reminder on watch..... just hope not mistaken for a &%£$^&** tourist!!

Thank you so so much, you're a legend - no one can mistake a legend for a tourist, even when filming!!

Sorry, don’t know why this came to mind

Made me laugh out loud!!!
He does have a look of Rodney, but i swear he's only 7 ;)

What a day that was!! (Other than the 0-0!)

A huge thank you to anyone here that has done their best to do pics or movie for me, you're brilliant!

I was high up in the corner, but watching him walk round (although they only went part way round) was brilliant - but the moment he stepped onto the pitch, oh i almost cried, softy i know, but i felt so proud - and i had all these emotions as i so so wanted to tell my mum (and my dad) i wanted to be able to tell her that here he is doing this! My little man! I miss my mum.. But yes, seeing him step onto the pitch and line up, the pride! And then, to see he had Kevin behind him! Even prouder! He did have two bigger kids crouched in front of him in yellow and green jackets so fingers crossed he's not too blocked when we get the official pic through, but i was just beaming. Beaming. I know, i'm a softy!

And then he was bundled off and us parents sent down and outside, and when we met up outside he was so excited! Frozen but excited! Although it took the first 13 minutes of the match to get to our seats as we had to hoof it around the building site, and then they'd shut the turnstiles! But oh i just felt so happy for him.

Mum was my season ticket partner side by side every year, since we bought them in 94, having bought match by match for years before that til they knocked the kippax down. My first match was 1985. Losing her days after the champions league win has still taken away a part of me i'll never get back... i ache. But the pride i have in my son is huge.
And my dad, he died 5 years ago this May. I took my son to his first game (age 2) 2 weeks before dad died. Time goes so fast.

Anyway, no room for gloom here, wanted to say thanks again and if anyone does have any pls DM me. Thank you!

An eventful night though as he woke me up 4am crying he felt like he was "dying"... i thought is it a bad dream, over excitement, but no he then threw up everywhere. It seems school, despite knowing he has a milk allergy (ok not one that would kill him like some poor souls, but it gives him bad bad skin ezcema and vomitting) gave him a small easter egg in a raffle, and he hid it in his bag and ate half in bed after pretending to be asleep last night. He said sorry, but that he wanted to treat himself after having such a good day! So quite an end! Luckily he settled down again after about an hour, but sitting up with him while he was poorly is such a "mum" thing it made me feel my mum was there. Sounds daft,

Anyway, he's ok today! And can't wait to tell school what he's done! (While i remind them to please not give him any milk chocolate, he actually does like dairy free choc so doesn't miss out at home!)

I did try but all I got was a crowd of press people so I deleted it. My friend across the aisle said was it for you! So we were all looking out for you. :-)
Glad he enjoyed it and you did as well. Brilliant. I hope you get a great photo from the club. :-)

I’m really pleased you both had a great day. And a lovely story.

But are you saying the mascots get dumped outside the ground before the game starts and if they haven’t got a ticket to get back in, it’s straight home?

Seems a bit mean and small time if that’s the case.

Well i would hope the mascots that run out with the team DO get to stay in - as they have a much longer and bigger role but i don't know for sure. But my son was part of the "pitch parade and team photo" that is a separate, lesser thing (but not lesser to us!!) where they get the team photo just before kick off. You can't get to do it unless you DO have a ticket (he won it by just having a junior seasoncard as apparently they do a ballot) but they make it clear before you accept that you will miss "up to 10 minutes of the match" as yes, even though we were in there with seconds til kick off, they escort you out via Colin Bell stand exits, and you have to go find your usual seasoncard entrance and use your ticket to get in. Yes it sounds daft, yes a lot were moaning, but if's what it takes for you to let your kid have a big moment you do it. It was made worse with us having to get from Colin Bell main entrance all the way round to the east stand, with the works going on. I felt like i was in a 400 metre olympic dash, which with my asthma and general unfitness almost killed me ;)
I think they do it just to avoid having people from all different stands and levels having to be taken to their proper bit by staff at kick off, it's easier to just have everyone out. We'd do it again in an instant if we could! But tbh if it was the derby or something like QPR 2012 i wouldn't really want to miss any ;)

Sounds like a great day, but sad that you can't just stay inside and get to your seats through internal doors.

My lad took a pen against Moonchester at MR, we were at a League Cup game v Soton and some random lady asked if she could borrow his shirt, apparently a junior for that game who was picked hadn't brought his with him....said the next time they did pens before a game he could do one too. We were escorted around the pitch at that time by the Teddy Sherringham look-a-like steward back to our seats in the North Stand.

He also was chuffed to bits for days either side. I've got some physical piccies of that somewhere in the house.

Fast forward 15/20ish years and as we were walking in someone in City square pulled him to do some shooting thing on the pitch....managed to get a photo from the big screens of that one.

Suppose what I'm saying is it's the same feeling when they're older too seeing them on the pitch .
