Pellegrini has said they'll leave it late to make the decision, but surely it must be Iheanacho in the circumstances?

Nasri said yesterday that he won't be back until April, possible foreseeing his exclusion, and which makes sense in all the circumstances.

Nacho, nasri won't be fit enough to play again and even if he was half the team are different now and he needs a pre-season with them

Nacho. If there comes a point during a game where we're chasing a goal I'd rather Nacho be an option than Nasri.
Truth is if we remain injury free we're well stocked in Nasris position - not so much Nacho's.

Nasri's injury is apparently healing faster than expected, and he's targetting the March international break.

That means Nasri will be fit for the 1/4 finals onwards. Which makes the decision much harder than if he'd stuck to his original schedule and missed 1/4's and semi's.

Very difficult decision to make.

He did play pre-season with them...and the first 10 games of the actual season.

He only got injured in end of October.

So Kelechi didnt become automatically available for the B list this month then. As Kelechi is fit and Samir is as yet unknown and recovering, its a no brainer for me, has to be Kelechi

Got to be Nacho. Nasri might not be back in time and Nacho will be an excellent threat off the bench, as he's already shown.

This season we've seen the likes of Demichelis, Kolarov, Sagna, Mangala and Navas used quite regularly with all the injuries we've had. De Bruyne, Sterling, Bony, Delph, Otamendi and Nacho have also had to be used despite needing to settle in the team. Added to this is the inconsistency of Yaya and we're not showing title winning form.

What's brilliant is despite our best 11 involving the likes of Clichy, Zabaleta, Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva and Aguero (6 players in addition to those above) we're in 4 competitions.

We've now got to balance things as best as we can.

Other threads have talked about players warranting a place in the starting 11. For me, away from home we play with Sterling and Navas out wide and potentially Delph and Fernandinho for energy in midfield with Silva behind Aguero. Bring Yaya on for composure/quality later on (De Bruyne is a different player away from home). At home is where De Bruyne and Yaya can come in, where the opposition may sit back more and their quality will see us through.

Anyway I've gone off topic. Get Nacho into CL and let Nasri come back and see us through to add the league and FA Cup as well to the League Cup and CL that the rest of the squad win.

Iheanacho, all things considered by the time Nasri is back we're most likely not in the competition anymore, and even if we are our depth on the wings is fine as is. Aguero and Bony are both injury prone so having Iheanacho in the squad makes the most sense.

That's his target for getting back to full training and there's only around 2 weeks between the break and the 1st leg of the Quarters. He'd be a long way from match fit, got to be Kelechi surely?

Shouldn't even be a question. Why does the decision need to be left until late? Are the extra days/weeks going to make a difference on when Nasri will be back? Not only that, it doesn't give Kelechi any confidence does it. The lads performed in every little bit of playing time he's been given and yet him saying they'll leave it to the last minute suggests the manager still doesn't think he's deserving of a place in the champions league squad ahead of somebody that's missed 2- months already and will miss another 2-3 months.
