I don't get the fuss with him. He played for Dortmund, so naturally the football hipsters love him, but he isn't delivering. We could do with an upgrade.

I don t think we will see the real Gundogan until next season. That s if he stays clear of injuries. Hi is more than capable of controling the game by himself, he just needs a good run of games.

Think that gundogan can be a little of the reverse at times and chooses the wrong option when another player is better positioned. I actually rate him but he isnt working correctly yet with Bernado who also needs to step it up another level but that not may be until the next season.

At the minute he slows our playing style down too much in the attacking third of the pitch

Maybe if he had been given the ball when in all that space, he might have had time to pick the right option.

Think it is probably a bit of both in all honesty, at the minute he can imo slow the front line down too much. That was shown when he went off because we picked the pace up much more

He is good as doing Busquets role, not Iniesta or Xavi's roles.

Thats why I hope Pep rotate him with Fernandino only.

the reason i was disappointed at him yesterday was because he would move between the CP lines, not droping to the center to help recyle the ball or offer himself. that was for me excaly the pogba way in hiding from the ball. problem is as he did that u see only our defenders and fernandinho trying to pick a pass forward. in doing that we had slow build up and douple markings for each player.

Comparing Gundagon or Bernardo as Merlin's replacement is grossly unfair , who the hell could you bring into the team who would have a similar impact as Spanish Dave , unless we had Messi on the bench ,any other player would be a downgrade. Although i still believe Gundagon is a quality player i think the whole team has struggled a little for most of December in comparison to the first 4 months of the season , we have dug out some great results ,quite sure we will be skipping when we get a fully focused Merlin back in the team and he has put his personal issues behind him

Doesn't do enough for me and definitely doesn't influence the game. Hope he will come good but have my doubts.
