Reminds me of Wilshere tbh, without being a **** obviously. At his best you want to see him running with the ball beyond the midfield but he doesn't do it often enough yet

Getting better every game and will play a big part in the 2018 trophy hunt , his quick thinking was there for all to see against Burnley , very tidy player and is very quick to regain possession , his fitness is back and he is showing why he is a German international player.

Would say that's his best forty five minutes since he joined the club. His passing was purposeful and he really controlled the game. That's the standard we continually need him to hit.

Strange player, clearly has everything in his locker and showed that he has that magic to change a game, but he goes missing far too often at the moment. There is clearly a proper player in there though, just needs to back himself more and consistently grab the game by the scruff of the neck like in that second half and he'll be a real world beater

Can see him being very instrumental in any potential champions league success, oozes class and quality and always has time on the ball, offers something different to the outstanding qualities of Silva and De Bruyne

I think even opposing fans want to see Ilkay do well, his quality is obvious whenever he's fit. Such a shame he's been hampered by injuries but City have given him such a platform now to play showcase his very best, in a team playing dazzling football with a genuine shot of winning every competition they are in for... I hope he's enjoying it.
