You have your own agenda for watching football based on stuff you have said in the past & always being right.

I can't even remember a word you have said on Gundogan but I now know by your reply that it's almost certainly that you have claimed he can do Fernandinho's job.

Hence the fact you can never be wrong will mean you are now going to turn shit into shinola 'proving' it

Other than the 15 minute or so spell when the whole team looked lethargic I thought he was very good tonight. He’s not going to do the job the same way as Fernandinho does, he does it differently but just as effectively (at times). Their was one moment second half when Ozil broke down Arsenal’s inside left, Gundogan blocked the passing angle and slowed Ozil down until other players got back into position and that’s all we needed tonight most of the game. On the ball he gave a couple of sloppy passes away but so did everyone else, the conditions tonight didn’t exactly help but on the whole he was very composed and efficient in possession.

His positioning is out of this world. Admittedly his concentration could be better, would spare the errors. Really came into his own towards the end.

I don't know what you thought he did well but you are clutching at straws.

I hope he improves & doesn't prove it embarrasingly right v a better team.

He completed passes well for a start off.

Personally thought he was decent tonight. Any failing s he may have had were largely down to two factors for me.

One, Silva & De Bruyne played in the same manor as they do when Fernandinho plays.
Two, they had a front four that were 'cheating' on their work rate.

Number one related to occasional overloads where some have pointed out he can be weak or cheap in possession. But Arsenal were leaving Ramsey, Ozil & Micky the stroller all occupying the space in front of the back 4. A lot for one man to cover.

Number two lead to them to leaving our attacking 5 vs their back 5. Who we ripped apart.

The clear positive was his discipline to be largely positionally sound in an unfamiliar position.

The negative for me, he didn't show for Ederson as well as Fernandinho does.

Class tonight, thought they were more concerned about Silva - who i actually thought was sloppy at times - but he found his way as usual!
