Ilkay Gundogan - 2018/19 performances

If the two Silvas are fit then De Bruyne should play the pivot roll until Fern is back. Gundo is just not up to the job I'm afraid.

He wasn't. Our loss had little to do with him. But he is an easy target. It matters little that we created nothing, that our attacking was limp. Our passing sluggish and our press non-existent.

It just feels good to pick on the one or two guys they predicted sucked. It matters not that Danilo was no better than Walker, that John and Eric have lost solidity, that Ederson's positioning is a bit suspect of late, that Delph hasn't been a better defender than Zee, that Debryune addition didn't create the expected or predicted uptick in chances, that Sane's limp header wasn't good enough. Nor we're his runs and movement. That our overall movement is stagnant, that Aguero looked like a chubby Gabby from 2 months ago. That Sterling looks uninterested, that Dave's inclusion made no difference.

None of these facts matter. Facts don't matter to the feelings folk. Now the cry is that only if we had "Fernandihno! He is the key" Like Perreira and Townsend crackers wouldn't have gone in if Fernandihno was there. Like he wasn't there when we were being breached by Lyon and Hoffenheim.

It's just silly fans having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that we are in a funk. So they lash out at their favorite boo boys.

Get it into your heads, we are struggling! Across the board, and we need to right the ship. Or we could be in 5 the by January 4th. :(

Pep needs to fix this. Get back to basic and get working.

You really can't stand it when one of your favourites have a shit game can you? You love coming on here with your nuggets of "wisdom" and tell people that their opinions are wrong and why you know best blah blah blah. You just come across as a condescending prick to be honest.
 
Watch the Leicester game again. He's great at passing sidewards and backwards. Creating he offers null. Tackle he offers null. Gave the ball away few times also. So remind me why he gets picked? Only reason I can think of is there is no one better on that bench.

Nope. Their opinions are not wrong. Just partial. It's a whine about an irrelevancy
 
Gundo has the occasional good game and scores the odd goal but the main problem with hi is that he slows our attacking game down too much, his first instinct appears to go backwards or sideways rather than take risks with a defence splitting pass forwards. It's no coincidence that Raheem plays better when Ferna receives the ball and drills the ball into him or in front of him, similarly with Sane. Gundo is a player to bring on when we are 2 or 3 up and need to kill a game with possession, not when we are trying to play quickly through the thirds.
 
He was poor yesterday. This season he has had a few spells but not convincing overall . Pep should have played Foden.

I don't think anyone is blaming our entire poor form/bad luck on this guy,that would be silly indeed......but the fact remains,he's still a waste of time.
 
Weren't there rumours that we could flog him for 50 mill in the last window?

He's needlessly taking up a spot that could be used by Foden. He's not good enough for us in most facets of the game
