He took a long time to get here. We can’t deny that. But he’s now truly arrived. Believe.
I'm not sure he did. He has always done some excellent things and had excellent games, but he has been lambasted by a small group of our fans every time his performances have not been absolutely top drawer. He is a superb technical footballer but, like most, benefits from a run of games and the support of the fans.

He has on more than one occasion been put in Fernandinhos position and suffered because hes not the great man himself. He isnt going to go sliding in like Nige De Jong or get nasty with midfields up and down the country but put him in a position for him to use his technical ability and its no great surprise we are seeing the best of him.
Well done Ilkay, superb recently.

That's wrong mate,for whatever reason......many of his performances have been a million miles off top drawer and he has rightly been criticised for such.However,his recent form has been great and it looks to be getting better so huge credit to the lad for showing the doubters,myself included,that he still has the hunger i thought had long gone.I'm not sure he did. Gundogan is playing fantastic football, yet he still has his haters. The guy has come back from a potentially career threatening injury, which people too easily forget. He is so calm on the ball, and rarely gives the ball away for free.
He is a class player, and would grace any top team in the Premier League.

You and I both know that fans have not offered him the patience for lesser performances that they have offered others. I suspect it is the style of play as much as anything else.
Anyway, we are in agreement, he is playing well so let's support him.
