I think for squad space and wages saving we will grant him a free transfer as well.
Unless he's a Fenerbahce or Besiktas supporter, in which case he might feel differently. In any case, having moved to Barcelona and him znd his wife missing Manchester it could be that they don't want to uproot their young family again. He has Turkish relatives, both of his parents are Turkish too, and he even said he considers himself more Turkish than German, so surely this move would appeal to him.
Somebody with 2 accounts ?
how ?? They don’t even play the same positionThis could mean more minutes for mcatee or o'riely.
I still believe his return impacted foden's minutes to develop a rythm last season
Can't see Mcatee being here next seasonThis could mean more minutes for mcatee or o'riely.

More likely Rico. This could mean more minutes for mcatee or o'riely.

I hope he stays. We could use his supreme quality and experience.
Schalke, though I suppose he might have had a Turkish team, too.Pretty sure he has said in the past he grew up supporting Galatasaray
The last name "Gundogan" was the dead give away for me.He has Turkish relatives, both of his parents are Turkish too, and he even said he considers himself more Turkish than German, so surely this move would appeal to him.
With Reijnders and Nico added to the squad the last 6 months, Cherki who prefers to play central & Bernardo becomming captai namd confirming hes here to stay...there isn't space for Gundo
Showed his class the end of the season when he had more bodies around him, but his legs ain't coming back and we can't accommodate him when the needs of the squad need legs
Wish him the best, don't think we need a fee as we got him for free, we jsut need the wages and the squad spot
I was delighted to see him coming back to us. But let's be honest here; it hasn't worked out. He's not the Gundogan that captained us to the treble. He hasn't got the legs any more. With Cherki and Reijnders coming in in, the emergence of Nico last season, Oscar coming back after his injury, McAtee (but will he still be here in august?) and Bernie apparently staying, it's hard to see a place for Ilkay. And at this stage of his career, would he be happy playing a bit part role? I don't think so.
