I'll be the first. Mancini out

Fuck me. We didn't throw the game, we simply did what other top clubs do and picked a weaker squad than usual. Injuries also hindered us somewhat but no one seems to mention that.

Not sure what use it would be the club telling us we'd be fielding a weaker team. Anyone with any sense would of known that already and I'd assume that most fans don't base attendance on selection policy.
With some clubs you might take it as a given. But with us and our drought, it isn't unreasonable for the fans to have expected we might be going for it.

Don't get me wrong, whilst a defeat always leaves a sour taste, I'm not overly bothered as stated previously, as I would imagine there is a list of priorities in the club and everyone is complicit in the decisions taken tonight.

Where I am supportive of some elements - and particularly for those who paid their hard earned and attended - is it would have been nice for the club to state we'll be making numerous changes and giving the kids a chance. People could then have made an informed choice.

Otherwise, like I say, I'm not too bothered as it means there'll be concerted push in the league, Europa League and hopefully they FA Cup.

I just think that with the current fixture list being 2 games a week that it stands to reason that Mancini can not field a full strength 11 every game. Sacrifices had to be made.

mancini took the piss tonight, as soon as i was told the team at 7-30 i knew we'd get beat, had it not been for shay we would have lost about 8-1. who in thier right mind picks jo AND rsc in any game, you can't blame the kids, they want to play and will always jump at the chance. rsc and jo though are big names and cost big money, yet they were fucking dire. mancini treated this game, our fans, and in fact WBA with total disrespect. he could only have wanted to lose this game, he made his customary late late changes when the game was all but lost. he has no clue what city and the english game is all about, he has no idea what its like to face rags with another chance to end 34 years of winning fuck all. he had better get up to speed and quick, this topic may have been started tongue in cheek but with the size of our outlay and our squad we should get past WBA every fucking time, i'm sure the way we went out tonight will have been noted.
shame on you mancini.shame on the senior players who started this game.

as a side note despite a pathetic line up with inept performances we could still have nicked this had it not been for a bent ref who treated the two sets of players in two totally different ways.he was a downright cheat and by far the worst we've had this season to date.

Spot on.

Everyone is saying "the fans" oh but what about us.. nobody cares and the sooner you realise the club is not actually here to make us happy regarding our past and 35 years or no trophy the better.
Obviously they want to win things because that makes the "brand" bigger and more sell-able. The owner hasn't bought the club to make the fans happy ultimately his goal is to make money. But they have eyes on the bigger prize and their way of getting success is different to ours as we'd be happy with winning anything.

I personally would love us to win the Carling cup and i'm annoyed we haven't gone for it.

I beg to differ. The Seikh, the chairman and the manager just have a different game plan to achieve on the field sucess. Making a brand is impossible without winning anything but the League Cup alone won't achieve this, nor will it help us attract the players that will. Champions League football is the aim, and if Mancini thinks playing a weakened side in the League Cup will help us achieve this then I think we should support him.

The OP is far from being the first.

Mancini Out topics began on here in January, a full month after he was appointed manager.

the problem is'nt posters or fans, the problem is why the fuck do they sell us the tickets then? why do we finish work early and chase down there with no tea or fuck all, watch us lose to a club with no hope of winning the fucking thing. then drive back in pouring rain taking our lives in our hands. i dont mind doing the things i listed and have done many times over decades but dont let some fuckwit manager go to our owners and say "do you mind if i throw this?"

now that would fucking irk me.

At least someone has the bollox to actullay say ^^^ and it's bang on imo.

i have to agree.if zabba, milner and silva had started the game,it would of been won by half time and then he could of done what he wanted.

if, but, maybe, could of..

goodness sake. whats done is done.

i really like mancini, and so did everyone else when we did lpool 3-0. its frustrating bombing out of the CC. i agree. but we have an injury list the same size as our squad list and we need to be fresh for chelsea. If we had beat WBA in the cc and lost 4-0 to chelsea everyone would be saying the same shit on here about mancini out.

forza mancini.

Unfortunately, we will still lose 4-0 to Chelsea and then 2-0 to Juventus, so Mancini had better be prepared to take some flack. Only after the international break, when Boateng, Lescott, Bridge, Balotelli and possibly Kolarov are all available for selection, will we see City at its best...but even that won't be good enough to catch Chelski.
