I'll be the first. Mancini out

i agree with the op.how can we as a football club afford to be so arrogant in any competition especially at a ground where we dont do so well at.i forgot our trophy cabinet was full to busting.the whole country wants us to fail and mancini does nothing to help the cause.get martin o'neill in now!

Firstly, I don't for a second think we were being arrogant. I don't believe West Brom fielded a full strength team.

Secondly, I take it the Martin O'Neill thing is Clarkie bait? If not, then seriously take some medication.

Some poor soul who travelled last night said that he wished Mancini had told people he would field an under strength side so he didn't waste money going to the game. Well, I for one never, ever expected us to play anything other than youngsters in this game - but I wouldn't have travelled even to see a better side anyway, because I'm probably just not as committed as some.

Everyone reckons we paid over the odds for Milner and lesscot yet these same people are talking like the carling cup was the most important target for this season. Champions league opens so many doors one of them being not having to pay over the odds for players, That's just one door of many. I'm as gutted as the next fan on last nights result but fuck me calling for him to be sacked that's just laughable.

if not MANCINI, who?

mancini has to stay, its plain stupid to remove him regardless of this pathetic defeat. although as i keep saying he has to wise up, he made too many changes and used his subs at totally the wrong times, far too late.those kids out there stood no chance and need a couple more older heads to help them out, this defeat will have knocked them back and its not fair on them.

any suggestion that bob wanted out of this cup(with the bosses blessing) appalls me.

]
Unfortunately, we will still lose 4-0 to Chelsea and then 2-0 to Juventus, so Mancini had better be prepared to take some flack. Only after the international break, when Boateng, Lescott, Bridge, Balotelli and possibly Kolarov are all available for selection, will we see City at its best...but even that won't be good enough to catch Chelski.
well put your money on those results, should net a few quid, if you are that confident.

I find myself strangely agreeing witrh every word of that.

He did the kids no favours whatsoever, as they were left isolated and under pressure throughout.

The kids probably learnt nothing other than how far they still have to go before they are even at the level of WBA's reserve players!

I felt for the two fullbacks as they were all but destroyed, and that is as much to blame Mancini for selcting that side and those extremely bizarre tactics.

We missed a great opportunity last night, and while I accept that we would play a weakened side, I never thought we'd go as far as we did with it.

In the same way you can't pick and choose which matches to win, you can't pick and choose what trophies you can win.

Extremely disappointed and my faith in Mancini has taken a hell of a shaking.

Get a Grip for FFS, yes its a bad result, the people who travelled have the biggest beef, but the bigger picture needs to be looked at.

Injuries, up and coming fixtures player development all have to taken into consideration here do we want to further our ambition in Europe and the premier league or the league cup?

Mancini may have got the team selection wrong, at half time we were 1-0 up!

Onwards and upwards, the Chelsea game now with their injuries is now his focus.

That is the type of game that he should be measured on as to how we have improved.

Forza Mancini

yes we were 1-0 up at half time but god knows how, they battered us and if not for shay the game would have been over by then. it was clear to see the kids were struggling to cope, had bob brought on zab and co then we would have seen it out, maybe even add to the score. defend him all you like but he dropped one last night, he has no clue on how much we want a trophy, any trophy.
we should have secured this win as it was there for the taking and we could still save the bigger guns for chelsea.
