I would rather be in our position that Spuds,but look how we failed miserably at the death last season,against the same team.
Hopefully history wont repeat itself !!

We are much better this time around despite what the league and points might say. We will have to fuck up big time for us to not finish 4th this time so if we don't make it then the inquest can start.

For now, with the games we have coming up, we should all be confident that our aims for the season should be achieved if we do what we should do.

You would think people wouldn't need telling that when we're on our way to our first final appearance in a generation but it seems to be the way City fans are these days.

Sorry but I still live with the old City adage "Typical City" !!! lol

Er, I think the whole reason of being glad we're out is that we now have a clear path to 4th and a trophy.

Despite meeting some great fans we were actually really shit in the Europa and won due to teams being alot worse than we were. The players never looked up for it and looked seriously jaded in the Kiev game, i think they see it as fans do that its a tin pot European trophy. I am very glad we are out as we now get time to rest at a time in the season we need to. If we had played Thursday before the FA Cup semi we would of never got the tireless performances we did

Different season different priorities. Firstly, I'm sure Roberto has learned his lesson for what the squad requirements are to fight on 3/4 fronts in the English league. It's not like other leagues around Europe where they play no league games in midweek and I'm sure Mancini will know this now and will act upon it (ie not so many players being allowed to go on loan).

Secondly of course you play to win and had we beat Kiev we'd have all been delighted. However, the fact we got knocked out has in my opinion had a direct, positive influence for us in our other aspirations. Winning a cup and being in the champions league would represent a fantastic season and we are well on our way to doing that.

Yep. Said i didn't want us in it full-stop before prem season kicked off. Too many outgoings for very little reward.
