Ive just got back in from my evening shift, and richie one of the old skool rags said to me he saw through his teams performance completely, and felt it was Citys match, in his opinion it was just pure luck that handed it to United.
I thought he was taking the piss at first, but he was deadly serious.
He also claimed thats why the United supporters are making such a massive deal of the win, because deep down they know that what summerbee said was actually right, city will be right in their faces next season.
This is a man who has been supporting them over 40 years, a real die hard red, and fortunately hes not full of shit like the rest of the plastics i know.
I told him we didnt win the match because we didnt take our chances, he said that maybe but the rooney goal was also lucky punt.
I wasnt expecting that from him ive got to say, i was expecting a load of gloating to be honest.
But it never happened.
Doesnt change my opinion on the rags though... MOFO's !
