Once again we had Tom Jones Junior belting out Blue Moon on the pitch before the game. :-?

Then we had Mr Attendance announcer telling everyone, including the Palace Players, that our wonderful support makes the *Etihad a fortress*, while the score is still 1-0 and there's over 10 minutes to go until the final whistle.

Honest to God!

Can somebody in charge at City not take a deep breath, take 5 minutes out, and think about these things before implementing them.

I appreciate the matchday experience is up there with the new training academy, stadium expansion, etc, but it really is getting OTT now.

Apologies for the rant.

I'm off for a beer. :-)

You are spot on. Nothing like motivating the opposition!
 
Agree with you on this. What's the point in having the guy sing on the pitch where barely anyone takes part to then only have us all sing bluemoon again 5 mins later before kick off. Pointless, the first rendition just pumps up the away support!

No apologies needed

The bluemoon rendition before the game always kills what little atmosphere there is and whoever sanctioned that announcement should be picking up their p45. Around me in 322 there was an audible gasp that we would be so crass.
 
The pre match bluemoon is just hilarious now tbh, feel sorry for the guy doing as he must realise how cheesy it is with no one singing along or applauding it. Thought the display by the 1894 group was superb though, hopefully see it on a larger scale against Barce.

I do miss the old announcer (Alan Keegan?) and Right here right now. The announcer and intro music at present is just dreadful.
