I'm Normally Upbeat And Positive, But.......

I guess having won 13 out of 14 games at home this season and having scored 58 goals in the process, we all need something to complain about. Personally, I think my hot chocolate was too hot and there isn't enough sauce dispensed in one dollop from the dispensers and I don't like the old codger in front of me because he cheers for too long after each goal. Sort it out City!
Ah yes, the old "City fans need something to moan about *wink*"/"we've won our last ten games you should be grateful" post.

We can tick that one off for the thread now.

If we had failed to win today, the only "matchday experience" I'd have wanted is the announcer being executed in the centre circle. Harsh, maybe. Maybe not.

Agree with you on this. What's the point in having the guy sing on the pitch where barely anyone takes part to then only have us all sing bluemoon again 5 mins later before kick off. Pointless, the first rendition just pumps up the away support!

Don't think he even sings it anymore, its just a mime - oh dear, it simply beggars belief.

Once again we had Tom Jones Junior belting out Blue Moon on the pitch before the game. :-?

Then we had Mr Attendance announcer telling everyone, including the Palace Players, that our wonderful support makes the *Etihad a fortress*, while the score is still 1-0 and there's over 10 minutes to go until the final whistle.

Honest to God!

Can somebody in charge at City not take a deep breath, take 5 minutes out, and think about these things before implementing them.

I appreciate the matchday experience is up there with the new training academy, stadium expansion, etc, but it really is getting OTT now.

Apologies for the rant.

I'm off for a beer. :-)
I hate this overindulgence in the song BlueMoon. I don't know anybody who wants some random singing it on the pitch; no fucker joins in, nobody gives a fuck.

I don't know anyone who knows the words beyond what we sing!

We sing along with whoever and I know ALL the words and SING (well alright, I'm not a singer so I shout) all the words, not just the ones they put up on the boards around the ground!! But then I am old and remember it from wayyyyyyyyy, wayyyyyyyyyy back in the 50s and 60s!! Plus I play it on the way to my pickup point before every match (The Elvis version) :-)

As for that stupid Fortress Etihad announcement I was ready to go and have a few choice words with the announcer and will be sending an email to City to complain. Well if people write to them they then know that the fans don't like that sort of thing. Complaining on BM doesn't always get their attention!!!

City will not learn to turn the fucking music off. No one wants it. No one cares.

When we get a big game we get ten minutes of the club killing off the singing with daft music and cheesy shouting, Then the game kicks off and we get ten minutes of the south stand and the east stand singing different songs at the same time. Then, if we are behind the atmosphere dies off, or if we aren't, it might get decent as long as the south stand goes quiet so the rest of the ground can join in with the east stand.

An extra tier will probably make it worse as the sound does not travel up the tiers, only across the pitch.

Sitting in the South Stand, you can only hear the noise made in other stands or your own tier, but not the tier above or below

On the plus side the new tier(s) looks to be twice the size of the existing tiers.

Atmosphere was rubbish today, despite City hitting top spot. But that will come as the season progresses. Probably the quietest City crowd we have had this season.
