I'm really unsure about yaya

Yaya is big game player and i will never drop him against big clubs..his passes are class . he was superb on sunday

The only complaint I would have on Yaya is his fitness levels. When those runs dont work out for him he is shocking at getting back into position. Seems to always come good at the business end of the season and I would expect to see the same again. I just hope with the African Nations Cup coming up he doesnt get any injury.

I'm really in two minds with him. He seems to be a big game player and I think against united he showed us glimpses of what he was like in the second half of last season, but other that that he has looked lazy and unfit this season. Forgetting what he did for us last season, which make no mistake, was incredible I don't think it should take a player of his calibre and quality 6 months to get fit and to his best. He is supposed to be a real motivator in the dressing room but I watched him when we scored against villareal, one of our most important goals in recent history and he just looked uninterested and again when kolarov tried to celebrate with him after the game. Someone on here also mentioned that he was 100% certain that there is a clause on his contract that he must start every premier league game if he is fit, now I wouldn't normally believe the club would agree to this but I can't remember him sitting on the bench for any premier league game since he's joined us even though the rest of our team get rotated and rested for bigger champions league games he never seems to be rested despite being one of our more unfit players and looks at times like he needs a rest.
I think he is a quality player but I am unsure about him and wonder at times if the team would be better off without him.

OH FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS FFS..

I think he's world class on his day. Is he unsettled? He didnt seem to celebrate the Villereal winner. Kolo is asking to go to PSG. I thought his comments regarding Silva and Barca were out of order.

Does anyone have a clue what went on with him being omitted from the derby team and then being swapped last minute for De Jong?
I forgot about those comments and they were what prompted me to make this thread although he could have been misquoted

*shakes head*

here you go you 2

hoisted by your own petard dickhead
how could you start a thread based on comments that you had already forgotten about

OP must have only been a 'blue' since the turn of the year.

If he's unsure about yaya what the FUCK must he have thought of samaras, musampa, macken....need I go on?

Look at all the goals we've scored this season. Start with Utd. How many of those moves start from a fast, flat, accurate ground pass from Yaya, or a sixty yard cross field pass with a perfect arc (none of this over-hit, low trajectory, got to be a genius to trap it stuff)?

He's basically a six foot four Scholes (latter period), with more pace, a harder shot, and more defensive ability. Not as good at volleys but he has an inordinate amount of finishes in his game for a 'midfielder'.

How many players do you know who can play anywhere on the pitch at this level? He is well on his way to becoming a true giant in this league, make no mistake about it.

I know he has off days but I tend think it's not laziness. He plays more games than any of the other mid-fielders, and that is a hell of a big frame to be carting about for 90 minutes, even before he throws in half a dozen barnstorming runs.

As for his attitude, I don't really know what's going on, but picking up on a few cues here and there, it seems that the players he's less than ecstatic with are also getting a bit of stick from the coaches and other players. It's not all tea and sympathy, sometimes people are put under pressure, to bring out their fighting spirit, toughen them up, or make a point on behalf of the team.
