I'm really unsure about yaya

I don't understand after that AMAZING win people can pick out negatives?

this week we should be happy and still buzzing over it..but nope not on bluemoon..

*sigh*

Bar Silva only midfielder in our team who could walk into any side in Europe. This thread is a nonstarter.

Yaya is vital to our side, I think his experience is vital to us, I think he is someone the other players look too and gain strength and belief from. Last season he was lorded for his brilliant solo runs, but its clear he is playing slightly deeper this season. It was also about this time last year that he started to show what he was really capable of anyway. Despite the slightly deeper role I still expect him to pop up with some important goals this season. Along with Hart, Kompany and Silva, I suspect Yaya is one of the first names on the team sheet.
Besides in my eyes Yaya will go down as a City legend as the man who scored our goals in the semi and the final last season.

Yaya is one of our very best players, and pretty consistent, with an amazingly totally professional attitude. You've never seen him throw his toys out of the pram.

I think that he's exactly the sort of player we need, came from a big club on big money to us, always puts his effort in, and wants to win (Good interview in the Guardian from the weekend about this http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/22/yaya-toure-manchester-city?INTCMP=SRCH). Against Villarreal, he wasn't playing well, especially first half, but was getting frustrated with himself and the team, good to see that sort of passion, I think.
Was surprised when he initially wasn't going to start in the Derby but he put it all in.
He gives us loads of fluidity and options too, as many have already said, he can play behind the forward, in CM, sweeping the back four and I remember him dropping into centre back when we had someone sent off last season.

I agree.

You're definitely wrong there.

Yaya is a curious one. There are times when he's a big problem. Most times, though, he's a match-winner. At the minute, his situation doesn't need to be addressed. And it is a situation - it's pointless burying our heads in the sand.

I've often said that on his day he is one of the best in his position. When it is an off day he is like Jamie Pollock.

But, I'd rather have him in the side than not.
