I'm so bored with no football...

I don't understand how anyone is saying 'no football'.
There have been 3 tournaments. Under 21s, Confederation Cup and under 20's. Whilst I like getting to the ground for a game and miss it, I don't really mind the summer break.

We have Wimbledon, The Lions. The Ashes. As well as going seeing Heywood play cricket. Last summer was the Olympics. There's rugby league.
Plenty of decent sport.

I got to the stage a couple of weeks ago where I couldn't wait until the confederations cup. That's how bad it is. World Cup next summer will be good especially after we have won the league or champions league.

God, I'm so bored till the new season starts. All we get is tennis, tennis, tennis, kiddies with no interest in it anyway and screaming "Come on Andy", or rugby Lions or something playing games where most of the points come from penalties given for some obscure technical infringement (imagine penalties in football after a player was offside).
The season can't come soon enough. Am I alone in this?
It is summer dude, go to the beach and enjoy the sun!

UK and sun don't go well together mate!

But there has been plenty of football so far, no idea how you can be bored. Confederations cup has been pretty good so far as was the U21s Euros. And now we have the U20s World cup followed by the pre-season starting shortly after. Plenty of stuff going on considering it's summer!

That's just it though, some of us only really follow the one sport. Having all these other sports rammed down my throat during the summer just makes me miss football even more.

As for the Confederations Cup and the Under 21's tournament, I'm sure I'm not the only football fan who wouldn't bother watching those games if they were smack bang in the middle of the season.

Though to be fair it's mainly just City I miss, rather than football in general.

Are there really no other sports you are interested in?

Personally, I'm happy to have a break from football. Maybe it's because I played other games like cricket, tennis, golf and hockey in my youth, but there is also Moto GP, with Cal Crutchlow being the first British rider in a generation with an (admittedly outside chance) of winning a race holding my interest.

Lots to keep me amused during the summer. There has been quite a lot of football on the telly lately as well, and the Ashes are just around the corner.

No Football you say?

We've had the UEFA U21 Championships in Israel, the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil and the FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey are both running at the moment.

Next week, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League competitions get started.

There are pre-season friendlies and minor competitions (the Asia Trophy in Hong Kong being one) coming-up.

And then there's all the Summer transfers to keep track of.
