I'm thinking it is corrupt

Fergie has the refs exactly where he wants them. They are petrified of him because if they give a decision against them Fergie will give them a tongue lashing and call their ability into question and the media will eat it all up. So the refs just bottle it and give United the "benefit of the doubt" every single time. Fergie has far too much power over the refs and I can't fucking wait till he retires so the refs will once again have the balls to give decisions against United.
This is what should be clamped down on. Refs get ostracised from Old Trafford if Fergie doesn't like them, there's simply no way he should have that level of power.

It's this more than anything else, like Atkinson not being allowed to ref them for the best part of a year. Refs know if they piss him off they won't get the big matches and will drop down the pecking order. They do the same with journos. As soon as united lose the power to pick and choose refs the better for everyone.

I've seen worse - from where Oliver was it looks as though it's Carrick who got contact on the ball.

Jammy as fook but to use that as an argument for corruption in United's favour - naa.

United lucky again though, the type of "luck" we've hardly seen all season.

Please can you give us an example of anything worse or even close to as bad as what United got away with tonight.

Erm...90% of other penalty appeals mate. Oliver sees Carrick swing a leg and the ball spins off the right way. It's hardly groundbreaking mate it's just another case of Rags getting fucking jammy again.

what gets me is, if a panel of arseholes can sit round a table and decide whether a player meant to elbow, punch, kick stamp on another player, when its not clear cut - even after numerous replays - and the players either get banned or get off.

Why can't a ref be banned for a period of games for making a total bollocks of a decision?

ok, so i think we can all now agree its bent......

what do we do about it? serious thoughts on where we go with this.

we can start with the visit of mike riley in april.

What fuck me off most is they can't even admit its a foul. Forget any other incident they claim to have watched that game and deny its a pen that is Fucking mental illness.

It isn't fucking corrupt. I hate these kind of threads. It was a shit decision. That's it.

Stoke should have had a penalty against us, and they didn't get it. I didn't see anyone claiming it was corrupt then. United had a bullshit penalty given against them at OLD TRAFFORD against Newcastle earlier on in the season.

People need some perspective. It was a tough one to give, and I think Oliver either wasn't sure, or just bottled it.

That's it. It's not Sky fucking telling him to "not see it".

Most sensible thing said on here all night a bad decision roled into a catalogue of them this season

i'm actually in the minority and not sure if it was a penalty.
it's part of the modern game that i hate, because murphy has let the ball roll under him hoping he's gonna get hit. if he takes it on his right foot and shoots, he scores, end of. don't know why he had to arse about

Re: ok, so i think we can all now agree its bent......

There's nothing we can really do about it.

The most the common man can do is start an e-petition. 100,000 signatures and the House of Commons have to consider debating it. Probably get 100k signatures in a couple of days as everyone except United fans know what a disgrace the situation is.

We could also just stop dropping stupid points away from home against shit teams.

Just a thought like .... ;)

A clear Fulham penalty not given. However, it was a refereeing decision that had cost United 2 points when Neacastle went to Old trafford so it is fitting that another dodgy refereeing decision tonight should set the balance right.

Like Camelgob's clear foul on Demba Ba at SJP that was ignored by Howard Webb? Wasn't the balance set right then?
