I'm too Nervous to watch the game!

This isn't worthy of a new topic (i can't start one anyway) but i feel i need to share it. This is my current Fb status-

200m spending spree, Fergie time, Adebayor 80 yard sprints, Hughes Sacked, Bobby Mancs scarf, Robinho tantrums, Bellamy outbursts, SOS Goalies, 8 draws on the trot, Derby day cup semi finals, Wayne Bridge non-handshakes, Bullet dodging Togolese, Welcome to Manchester, Noisy neighbours, Double over champions to be, 0-5 at half time, Boot licking morons, Van Persie's Sore Face, City v Spurs...It's do or die Blues!

Took ages to fit it all in!

In all honesty I won't be upset at the players and managers if we don't get 4th, I'm more neavous of the backlash of not getting 4th by the media and opposition fans. We'd be labelled a bunch of overpaid failures, and to think it would be spurs who we face makes it even worse as their fans are a bunch of arrogant twunts (that includes the saggy chops media darling lovvies)..

Anyway, anyone else feel like this?

I agree with every word of it. I've even developed a strategy for dealing with it. If the worst happens tomoz or even on Sunday, I am going to avoid the subject of football until the World Cup starts and I won't be listening or watching anything about City. After a few weeks of gloat fest, the City haters will be distracted by the World Cup and it will be safe to turn on the radio/TV again. And when the World Cup finishes, we'll have transfer speculation to keep us going. It's a plan, I reckon. Hope for the best but plan for the worst.

-- Tue May 04, 2010 10:29 pm --

This for me is our biggest game, not sure i'm gonna be able to even get to sleep tonight. In fact, for the first time ever, I've (shamefully #1) put a bet on the opposition, cos if we lose the feeling will be so dire.

For me this game is more important than any of the relegation scraps etc of the past cos 1) if we dont make it this year i think our reputation & ability to bring in top players will be affected, 2) i fear a number of our best players will go - even if it means taking a likely pay cut, 3)the media will be unbearable , 4) uefa/ PL will probably rush through some rules to limit our spending so we need to make the jump to the CL now, 5) its against spurs and i'll never forget the feeling I felt after the 81 cup final and replay, or the feeling every single fcking time they replay villa's goal or tommy H's og.

In a nutshell, it matters and i'm nervous - and i'll probably have to (shamefully #2) go for a run tomorrow while the game is on. Its confession time, sad but true.
