I'm more worried that when we started this competition we could practically field an entire second team that was still able to qualify top of the group. I expected that the more we progressed into the competition the more 1st string players would be bought in to bolster the chances. Now I'm a little concerned that we're just a bit thin to be fighting for Europa, FA Cup and 4th. In some ways the more time the team get together the better, in others we'll just be going into crucial league games with knackered personnel.

I would drop out of the Europa and Fa Cup tomorrow if you could guarantee me 4th place. Even if we'd drawn or beaten the rags I'd say the same. We *need* 4th to keep this ball rolling. Get 4th, Mancini stays, the mainstay of the squad stays, we can add a couple of eye candy purchases and go out and dick everything next season. We don't need the FA Cup, we don't need the Europa.

kolarov, dzeko, de jong, kolo, boateng, and swp should all be pretty fresh and should be able to get a result by themselves. put some people around them that wont fook it up and we should get a result.

the good thing about dzeko is that he may not be acclimated to the prem league style yet, but he should be able to smash these europa teams.

It finished 2-1 to Olympiakos. Riera (remember him) played for Olympiakos but didnt score and Nery Castillo came on for Aris. Aris also seem to have a player called Faty. He sounds like he would fit in well in my 5-a-side league.
