Fuck me! Countless posts from City fans over the years crying out for the ground to be expanded. Some rich guy comes along and answers those requests. Is being without a roof for a short period of time such a big deal?

just shove them on some sticks and hold them up as the teams come out/ when goals are scored/ FT etc....

we won't know fully about what will happen with the electronic screens until Monday, then we can judge and then write a strongly worded letter saying "oi, Let us have our banners back"

Just because im good at being a **** id like to point out that stand only has 1 tier, I do however totally agree with the rest of your post though.

Nice to a local firm is doing the business (well Blackpool).

Depending on the set up. I think an LED panel could be used in all kinds of ways. The Olympic opening ceremony in London had a fantastic use of LED technology. Pulsing lighting effects scudding around the arena in time to the music etc.

Perhaps some of the singing lyrics could be scrolled - the new Willy song for instance - so everyone can join in.

People seem to have decided that the LED displays will be for advertising. City haven't used that word. Maybe the team lineups will scroll round, also showing digi flags/banners etc.

Let's wait and see eh? Before judging?

I think that LED digital scrolling banners are a great idea - we could have a 70's retro theme, and scroll 'You're Gonna Get Your Fucking Head Kicked In', and You're Going Home In A Fucking Ambulance' on the rare occasions when the opposition take the lead.
Or 'We Can See You Sneaking Out' when fans leave early.
Or 'Who The Fucking Hell Are You?' when the Dutch porn star appears.
I do love Bluemoaners - they are the kind of folk who could find a £50 note on the floor, and then complain about having to bend down to pick it up.
