In a week where our "atmosphere" has been battered....

All I could hear was blues on the tv apart from the usual "Where were you chant" form the Villa.
Such a shame hey. What was the attendance ??? Maybe 10000 under capacity

Well done to the travelling blues as it has been a dear do recently aswell.

I was sat in the corporate bit on the halfway line, equidistant fom the City fans and the Holte End, so I feel particularly well placed to comment.

The City fans were incredible today.

The lamb was nice too.

I'm convinced the atmosphere will improve discernibly when the South Stand is extended.

Anyone who can use the word "equidistant" and spell it correctly on a football forum is definitely a wrong un. Especially when he misspells the next word.
I've had an....errr.......emotional evening and feel tired and......err.....emotional.

You spelled "pissed" wrong as well

We were three rows from pitch side today ...It got a Errmmm a bit giddy towards the end of the game..Fantastic it was like old time footy.

Yep, it certainly went bannanas at the front when we scored, just like the good old days.

Even Chris Foy made me laugh when he came over to usher the players back after Sergio scored, he spent more time looking at our section shaking his head then he did talking to the players.

I've always liked Villa Park for a day out and it didn't disappoint yet again yesterday.

Not quite as giddy as the front of the villa end where we were undercover next to the city section.the reason it all kicked off was when yaya scored a blue ran the length of the north stand cerebrating with his arms up.the villa fans took exception to this .it made for a very tense 15 mins for myself and kids.by all means go in with the home fans just don't do that !!!

think i was stood next to you Jessie

like you cleavers i thought the atmosphere was the usual away crowd for us, pretty good

however five 'fans' next to me, all under twenty at a guess, arrived just after kick off

there were two girls and three lads, seemed a respectable bunch but they were falling over one another trying to get to their seats as they clearly couldn't hold their ale

for the next thirty minutes the lad next to me spent it looking away from the pitch at the upper tier shouting 'come on you cunts, stand up, come on fucking sing'

they complained throughout the game how shit our fans are and there's no atmosphere and how embarrassing we were, oh the irony
this in between calling yaya a lazy **** every time he touched the ball

i imagine if they had been posting that shit on here i'd have been banning them for being rag WUMs
one thing's right though, some of our 'fans' are shit

Away support has never been an issue.
It is when we go to London. I've spent one London away being moaned at by Southerners because of how tall I am and I've always refused to go but I bekive there have been Arsenal fans in our away end in both of our last two visits.

From the Midlands up, when our normal away end is out in force, we're as good as any set of fans in the country. I do still think we don't have enough big groups of 20-40 year old lads all together too. Other clubs have it much more than we do. We'd be even louder if that were the case.

We are quiet at home a lot of the time though and in the Champions League we are woeful. I didn't have a problem with Scholes' comments midweek because they are true.

But our proper away following is great and always has been.
