In a week where our "atmosphere" has been battered....

Took my girlfriend to her first City game yesterday, she absolutely loved it. Prior to that she'd only ever been to a few Arsenal games; couldn't believe the contrast between their fans and ours. During the second half she turned and asked me "Do you all ever stop singing?". Great noise, up there with Palace away in April which for me was our best away atmosphere last season.

Villa fans kicking off were pathetic. Doesn't tarnish my general opinion of them as I've always found the Villa support to be a good bunch, good ground to visit, but watching them throwing their toys out the pram after 80 minutes of goading and "Where were you when..." chants was pure schadenfreude.

To be fair, if it was the other way round and a Villa fan did that infront of the south stand I'm pretty sure a few of us would have kicked off as well :P

Just a thought, did anyone else notice the effect the lads who were banging the sheet metal had on the David Silva olé song? It really enhanced it.

This is what a drum would do if used correctly. Not like Wigan et al use it just to make noise, but to actually help the songs.
