Abramovich didn't build a Chelsea version of the CFA, and it's only now they are looking to work on Stamford Bridge, for now we take in 13,000 more than them.

There was also no FFP, which allowed us to build as we did, which will never happen again.

The big clubs worked to ensure it would be only them at the top for the foreseeable future, hoping to barricade us out of it.

Unfortunately for them, Soriano and Txiki let themselves in the back door through expert vision and financial management, and we are now part of the clique of teams that are not going away.

Especially us, with the plans the club has, CFG, the building of the CFA and the investment around Manchester and the first team it's plain to see we are here to stay.

I think it's quite feasible this club will not go 3 years without winning a trophy until at least 2050.

In answer to the OP i think with our set up 1 title every two years should be the new target, we aren't small fish anymore.

So I think we should hit 21 titles around about 2049.

Well only 17 to go but honestly if we do go past them title wise I won't goad them over it as I find them quite sad individuals when they use it against us normally when a discussion is lost. I think that we are slightly getting ahead of ourselves. Let's make it 5 titles this year and then focus on retaining it for the first time. That's a big ask in itself.

We have a cluster of big clubs with huge resources. As one pulls away the others are likely to invest heavily to catch up. I can't see any single club dominating it to the extent that the dippers and rags did in the past.
