Another way of putting it, Pirlo excels in a team which has intelligent footballers around him. He needs them to find space, make runs, pull the opposition about... and then he can find you and break the opposition down.

Gerrard could win you games by himself, and often did for Liverpool.

I'm not joking, I know it's not fashionable but I do rate English players over the over coached foreigners any day of the week. If Balotelli was English, he'd be a better player ala Welbeck. If Kun was English he'd probably have much more to his game ala Defoe.
