They would just put both on the indictment. From wiki (although slightly off point).
However, in R v Morrison [2003] 1 WLR 1859, the Court of Appeal considered the issue of alternative verdicts on an indictment with a single count of attempted murder. Morrison had gone into a shop with two other men on a robbery with a firearm. They demanded money and one of the men shot at the shopkeeper who suffered only minor injury. The prosecution had many opportunities to add other counts before the trial but failed to act. Having heard the case, the judge expressed his view that the jury could consider an attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) under section 18 of the 1861 Act and Morrison was duly convicted of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm. The Court of Appeal confirmed that attempting to cause grievous bodily harm is a valid alternative to attempted murder because there can be no intention to kill someone without the intention also to cause grievous bodily harm

100 percent. Why not drive into people further up the road if it was all pre-meditated? Or are we supposed to believe he targeted those exact same people he hit (that were coincidentally all grouped together) before the day started?
 
I was driving home from North Wales on Monday and as I left the M6 and joined the M62, I'm fairly sure I felt the waft from offending car on Water Street which caused me to veer into the adjacent lane. Both my partner have been left traumatised by this NDE. Justice for us and the other 80.

Ok ok, ease off mr self righteous. I admit I was initially a little heavy handed.
But it will never be a handful, have you forgotten what happened to our coach, that wasnt a handful.

As for stereotyping, Liverpool fans make that easy, most are a bunch of self entitled pricks imho.

Still with the coach. That was football. This isn’t. The point scoring that’s gone on since Tuesday morning is pretty pathetic to be fair. But then again, football fans….

The initial comment I made was in response to their claims about their parade numbers. Perhaps you believe they had 1.5 or 2million fans? I dont.

I have not made any derogatory remarks about the appalling car attack, in fact quite the opposite.
