Best wishes buddy and stay strong.

i'm on the road to recovery but Its been weird since I got out. I got out of hospital on wednesday afternoon. By 6.30am the next morning i'm back in again with no feeling other than excruciating pain in my legs. We phoned an ambulance as i couldn't walk, (apparently i wasn't an emergency even though i'd undergone brain surgery 5 days before) so i had to wait for my mum to come round and help me to the car. Rushed to hospital where they were expecting me and took me straight through to the majors unit (obviously felt like cunts not sending me an ambulance).

They got me all morphined up and i went to sleep for a few hours and i felt a whole lot better.

This morning was a little better other than the sleep, although there have been twinges in my legs.

But the biggest difference is the headaches. Worse than before (but i think thats to be expected this soon post op) but then the confusion is worse too. i'm far more confused than i was and its getting worse. it maybe down to the meds, but i've got a bad feeling about it.

probably just being paranoid, i'm dying for a scan or something to set my mind at ease. so we wait.....

Your mind isn't going to be settled after the operation and it'll take time before you feel as comfortable as you can. I'm certain the meds are causing you confusion because there's always side effects to these things. Hopefully the scan will tell you what you want to hear.

Thanks for taking the time to update us all, Danny. It's good to be able to talk about everything you're going through. Everyone is 100% behind you.

You should be so proud of yourself with the way you're handling this. You're inspiring complete strangers. Best of luck mate.

Right, I had a seizure today. Not a big one but big enough to get my arse into gear and do summat about these headaches.
Cut a long story short  I'm laid up for the 3rd time this week in hospital. The pain is being caused by a bubble of air Inside my skull. It's not common but not dangerous either, and it's caused by swelling of the brain, then a rapid decline when I take my steroid tablet, thus trapping the air pocket.

Anyway they've got to keep an eye on me for 72 hours and keep me on oxygen whenever I'm not eating or drinking as this helps speed this up. And they did a ct scan aswell but not got the results from that.

At least it's being worked on though and fingers crossed put my mind at ease.

if it's not dangerous and they're monitoring then just relax and get some strength and rest in if you can and just feel confident and relieved that it's nothing sinister.
