India didn't even exist as a single political entity for about 2000 years before British rule. There were 2000 years of regional empires rising and falling. So given that, is it really a surprise to see divisions in at least some regions once independence is earned? Particularly the ones that are culturally and religiously distinct (more due to the Mughal empire than the British one).

There's divisions, that's one thing, and there's violent attacks like the ones on the 26 tourists murdered by Pakistani terrorists on April 22nd that escalated this. The divisions encouraged by the British imperial rulers in the 20th century fueled the conflict that led to 1 million deaths around partition, and the botched partition exacerbated the situation. Indians never invited the invasion. Whatever divisions there have been in history, the imperial rulers have undeniably left a mess like they have in other areas of the world.

Did west took same stance against Pakistan. No, allowed world bank gives them loans. When Europe has 2 faced approach and take sides as per their convinence so can India.

Pakistans mistake is that they let army run the country, which has even arrested democratically elected PM Imran Khan. Till they keep army in charge situation will be same.

And no I don’t work for an Indian govt and I have my own issues with level of corruption in India that not allowed them to achieve their full growth story, but in with respect to Pakistan , what they are doing now should have been done earlier.

I'm certainly no supporter of Modi.
India cannot let this keep happening with an absolute minimum of loss of life, particularly civilians.

Speaking of terrorism, in my lifetime I have heard of many terrorist groups e.g. Baader Meinhof gang, the Basque seperatists etc.
The one which most impacted Britain though was the IRA, funded by NORAID with its' American sympathisers.
Armalite rifles (think M16), explosives and ammunition were all allegedly bought using this money.
People were murdered, executed and routinely knee-capped.
The memory of the 'troubles' of 40-50 years ago is fading, but the impact they had on British society was at a level which hasn't been matched - so far......

IMF likely has approved loan to Pakistan and that shameless country is planning a big attack on India soon just like Hamas did on Israel

A lot of people don't care about India or Pakistanis, who is right, wrong. Most people would just rather it didn't end up in war.

I think it will myself, there's just too much pent up anger and hatred from both sides. I guess enough anger to want to risk millions dying on both sides in some nuclear war?

What would you want India to do to Pakistan?

Looks like you are contradicting yourself or rather showing who you really care about by first stating - not caring about India or Pakistan but then worried about what happens to Pakistan.

I work predominately with an Indian company and four of their managers who I had a meeting with today are based in India. Two of them had relatives on the front line and were discussing it, really brought it home to me how lucky we actually are that conflict for us hasn’t been close to home for so long.
