Individual Match Tickets

Something wrong with the balance here. This game has been labelled as sold out on the website on several occasions, yet today in the section I managed to get a ticket during the free for all when all went on sale at once there was genuinely rows upon rows off empty seats , so these can't ever have been sold and must have been held back in the hope of packaging them with a stadium tour ect for £100+ rather than selling for the standard price. The result was empty seats that were hoped to be profiterred on , and a somewhat subdued atmosphere . Does a club with our rather Conservative Net spend and countless income from competition wins need to be doing this and actually failing at it , rather than selling tickets at a reasonable price to fans who actually make noise as Pep wants and constantly critises us for, instead of the row of Galatasary tourists and empty seats I was sat with?

Surprised the third tier returns didn’t sell out with all the members desperate for any chance of a game and the Charity Shielders waiting in the wings.

Doesn’t seem quite right does it?

I managed to get a couple of tickets for today when the seats first went on sale at the start of August, but couldn’t get all the tickets we needed before it was declared a sell out.

It was still declared a sell out until about a day ago, but I checked the website on the off chance and found literally a handful of seats for sale, but not two together. I then get into the ground today and see loads of seats empty in big clusters.

Assuming that the large majority of people who couldn’t attend today would have made their seats available for re-sale, it does suggest that the club are doing something to prevent these seats from being easily purchased. The lack of any announcements of the tickets going on sale again is a strange move given that every home game other than Forest is listed as a sell out. There doesn’t seem to be any set procedure around when the re-sale tickets are made available, or if there is they seem keen to keep it a secret.

Interesting this thread - it seems Newcastle have changed their ticketing policy because season ticket holders were buying to pass onto their pals and younger members weren’t getting a chance of tickets.

It looks like they’ve adopted a new loyalty points scheme which hasn’t gone down well with the old guard who were used to snapping up tickets.

Looking at other threads they had lots of empty seats at Brighton - supposedly people buying up tickets for the points and not using them.

Attempted to book the Saturday 3pm kick off home league games for the rest of the season and they are all sold out , i am on the e-mail list for supporters unable to make the game and the club putting these tickets on re-sale, but not hopeful
It appears we can sell out our stadium after all , quite sure the extra 7k seats available in a couple of years will also be sold imediately , so in reply to the Rags little ditty , this City is ours :)

They’ve held some seats back for home games which go on sale in October. Keep your eye out for those.

There's a "2nd drop" at the end of October. If the drop earlier this summer is anything to go by it will be carnage again.

If you are going on your todd, have a look at the ticket forum. Usually, there's a lot of ST holders selling their seat for individual games at FV. You will be paying a lot lower than the matchday prices.
