Inflation - when is this going to end?

Just shows how ignorant you can be of history.
Interest rates reached 18% in the 80s.
Inflation in 1975 however reached 25%.
Flippin heck didn't go back that far was still washing cars to make enough to go to home games and playing ping pong game on an old telly, makes today pale into insignificance.

We came out of an eight week lockdown on 5th March 2021 (4th March 2021 was the final day we were ever in lockdown). We didn’t have a lockdown up to Summer 2021.

We also never had a true lockdown here in Britain.
This is an interesting subversion of facts. Do you live in a parallel universe?

I knew it was high in the eighties and I remember it hitting 14% but 18% does ring a bell. I didn't have a mortgage back then and so I wouldn't have paid a lot of heed. I was a kid in 1973 when the three day week was on and power cuts, just about to leave school. I'm sure both periods were tough but this situation seems worse with little end in sight.
