Only those privvy to the deal are aware of price and wages. SSNakesTV and other assorted shysters go into Enid Blyton mode when they are after a figure. They make comparisons and come up with something that might be plus or minus £10m. And then if it's MCFC they add a percentage on of anything between 10%-30%. We have had three or four players within weeks of each other being our 'top earner'! Our transfers since 2008 have had more fiction applied to them than the rest of the PL put together. Also included are the negative aspects, whether they exist or not, to make the purchase appear more than iffy! BaconFace would have had an empty presser if the RagTops had scrutinised and written anything factual about his dropped bollox in the transfer market!

Who cares the premier league needs teams that can compete on the world stage. City and chelsea are the most likely to be able to compete at the top level. Unless the Rags start spending 100 million a season i cant see them keeping up. Both City and Chelsea will be to strong for them next season. The football that we will be playing will soon start to win over the critics.

Yes, we are spending big on players now, but we are also investing hugely in the campus, the stadium and the future. No other club is investing so much in infrastructure. It is hugely significant commitment from the club's owners.

This is the real game-changer and is what they (i.e. other fans and the Rag media) should be truly worried about: where we will be in 5-10 years time.
