Newcastle will go full strength and we will play the reserves and get knocked out.We may have to, although for next week we can still put out a half-decent side using the subs plus two or three regulars. Depends how Newcastle treat the match too, with their new CL commitments.
In truth that's probably the best outcome for us.

Think the fact we're away in Saudi at quarter final time and would have to go very weak for that will make the league cup even less of a priority than it might have been.Newcastle will go full strength and we will play the reserves and get knocked out.

Normally I'd agree with you but with the thinness of our squad, the injuries to big players and the amount of games we could potentially play this season, the EFL Cup is one of the only opportunities we'll have to rest players.the league cup breeds success , name me the last time a team has gone out early in the league cup and gone on to have a successful season, we need to go full strength
