Being reported now that Bernado's injury is not as bad as initially thought and he won't be out for "long at all" whatever that means
They said that about Stones and Grealish.

Newcastle will go full strength and we will play the reserves and get knocked out.We may have to, although for next week we can still put out a half-decent side using the subs plus two or three regulars. Depends how Newcastle treat the match too, with their new CL commitments.
Think the fact we're away in Saudi at quarter final time and would have to go very weak for that will make the league cup even less of a priority than it might have been.Newcastle will go full strength and we will play the reserves and get knocked out.
In truth that's probably the best outcome for us.
I didn't know that. I think going out last year helped us.Think the fact we're away in Saudi at quarter final time and would have to go very weak for that will make the league cup even less of a priority than it might have been.
Normally I'd agree with you but with the thinness of our squad, the injuries to big players and the amount of games we could potentially play this season, the EFL Cup is one of the only opportunities we'll have to rest players.the league cup breeds success , name me the last time a team has gone out early in the league cup and gone on to have a successful season, we need to go full strength
LOL, I remember Mancini used to say X is out for a couple of weeks, by the time X was back I'd forgot he played for us!They said that about Stones and Grealish.
What do you class as early ? We won only one game in it during 21/22the league cup breeds success , name me the last time a team has gone out early in the league cup and gone on to have a successful season, we need to go full strength
