Injuries - 2023/24 | Ederson cleared to return to training (p 146)

Ake took a heck of a clatter the other evening when their player was sent off. In truth, I was surprised Ake stayed on at the time. Wonder if today’s absence is related?

Netherlands round off their qualifiers with Ireland and then travel to Gibraltar; Greece would have to defeat France and hope the Netherlands lose both games to snatch second: unlikely. Ake has already been named in the original 25, but Koeman is already without de Ligt, Botman, and van de Ven, all through injury, so I hope he can agree that Ake be withdrawn as well. Koeman might be forced into playing Hato instead.

Need a good international break we can't fill the bench now.

There was only Ricco left to bring on yesterday as there was no chance of Phillips or young Bobb getting minutes in that game near the end
 
I forget about Gomez. What’s up with him?

4 out is about average we are just used to less in recent seasons.

The long term injury to KDB makes it feel worse. He will be back by Christmas though. Reading between the lines he wants to play in the CWC.
