Hmm I am not sure, plenty pull out before.
Very unnecessary for Jack to travel there, get dressed in his England tracksuit and have a suitcase with him for one of the physios to say yeah, looks like your fucked Jack, get back in the car for Three hours trip back to City training camp with Pep.
Clubs need to take a stand against the proliferation of international fixtures. You can’t blame FIFA, UEFA etc for wanting more seats on the football gravy train with more qualifying fixtures and extended tournaments and, absurdly, turning friendlies into the nations league. If I ran those organisations I’d see more matches for what they are - a license to print money using talent that somebody else pays for.
So the clubs should draw a line in the sand and tell star players we will decide on a match by match basis whether we’ll allow you to play internationals. If you don’t like it you can fuck off and play for Sunderland or Grimsby for five grand a week and be free to face Armenian taxi drivers or Andorran waiters 15 times a season in glamorous international fixtures.
If the big clubs stuck together on this we’d soon see the players fall into line
Great, but don't push it , next season if your back in any sort of top quality shape it would be a huge positive.
Same applies to a lot of sport, F1 is 24 rounds long, far too many, it's causing fatigue in everyone involved, from broadcasters, driver, mechanics, logistics etc.There’s. few ways of looking at it.
Get as many games as possible to get every pay day you can.
Limit the games to keep interest as high & charge more.
There’s a reason the World Cup so exciting as a kid growing up.

If he is back this time next year at any sort of decent fitness level he will have done well.I heard it said the issue with ACLs is you often feel ready before you’re ready & that’s when the breakdown occurs.
