I just read this morning that Akanji felt a muscular problem in the warm up, Peps decision for Akanji to sit the game out as precaution.

It's important we finish top 8 though to avoid two additional games. We should be beating Bruges and Feynoord at home so a win at Sporting takes the pressure offI'd be tempted to rotate and play youngsters against Sporting, given that we're not going out of the CL league stage anyway. It'd be near impossible to finish outside the qualifying spots from this position.

The players are basically fucked.

Really should have kept maybe 2 players instead of letting them go out on loan.

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if we get 6 points from 6 in our next 2 league games before the international break.
I'm not concerned about the Sporting game.
Feels like we're running on empty and just praying we have enough to get by week after week at the minute.

Our medical team are the reason we can actually field a team each game. They are the unsung heroes. We’ve had about a decade plus of averaging probably close to 60 games per seasonHonestly some of our medical staff need fucking sacking……no other team in the league has had so many injuries at once it frustrates the fucking life out of me
You can't really legislate for the amount of injuries we have at the moment, but many voiced their concerns at the start of the season that the squad was too small. It felt like a big risk at the time, and it looks to have backfired already. Just need to get through the next two league games, and hope we can get bodies back after the international break.
