Injuries 2024/25 | 8 players injured | Grealish, KDB & Walker unlikely to return until after international break

Gvardiol was struggling after the FT whistle last night. In the match he seemed to be holding his groin late on after a challenge, but in a post match photo below, it looks like there could be something else? Very concerning. Screenshot_20241031-081247_Chrome.jpg

I wouldn’t blame the backroom staff for the current situation, though at the same time we shouldn’t forget that we apparently tried to lure Real Madrid’s fitness coach in the summer.

We won the treble because we had an excellent squad of experienced players, many of whom peaked in that season, particularly in the period when we flamed Real Madrid. It was clear last season, however, that we were rebuilding and that the squad was one in development and not quite yet at the level capable of winning three major trophies.

I’m still confident that we can retain the league title, but I’m realistic enough to accept that doing so may mean sacrificing other ambitions this year. The long season last year, the hectic summer, and the absence of a regular pre-season for many have exacted a price, so we’re going to be relying on guys coming back, basically restarting their seasons, and somehow finding form.

Honestly some of our medical staff need fucking sacking……no other team in the league has had so many injuries at once it frustrates the fucking life out of me
Maybe your post vents more frustration than sense, Our medical staff have been incredible, We all know Pep likes to work with a small squad and we've kept that small squad in the best shape possible especially over the last four years, We had some serious injuries to KDB, Rodri and Laporte ect with ACL which is something that can happen in football and out of the hands of medical staff.

The current injuries are just unfortunate that they've all come at the one time, Our players playing every three days with Club and Country isn't helping at all, On top of all that we are always fighting to the end of basically every competition in a season and that's eventually going to take it's toll on the players. To do what we have done in recent seasons in quite remarkable, Now injuries are coming into the equation and we have to deal the best we can with the current squad.

Medical Staff needing sacking is really the last thing we need, Personally we should be looking at the powers that be that continue to treat footballers like they are robots with the amount of games they are playing, I don't give a fuck if they are on a million a week, It's too much football that's not even taking into consideration the training involved too.

Anyway, As normal Pep won't piss and moan about it like other opposition managers and we'll continue to win games.

Along with the idiots who think it's down to having too small a squad (ignoring the 8 injured players) there's some whoppers on here.
It's impossible to have large squad with players good enough to slot right in.

If they are good enough they aren't sitting around on the bench for long.

Utter rubbish! With the number of games we have played the number of injuries record is excellent Some injuries are unavoidable like Bobb leg etc.
How you can blame the medical teams is frankly staggering
