Might not be the disaster we all think it’ll be. Yes he scores bundles but he also stops others (Foden, DeBryne, Gunda, etc) scoring because we focus everything on him scoring. I remember last season us having to play Alvarez up front for a while and we actually looked more fluid as a team. Not saying I’m glad at all he’s out, just looking at the positive side. Cooke knows what he’s doing and the intent is there to not only foul but to then put his body weight on Haalands ankle is there for all to see, except the officials and of course the usual pundits. Cooke should have been booked and city get the free kick. The injury would have been the same but Cooke later got a booking so should have been off.

Club World Cup is our pre-season so Pep will no doubt be experimenting tactically for the new season so Haaland will be needed I reckon.
