Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

Small squad, several aging and/or injury prone players, playing twice a week with a record number of fixtures after a summer with international football. All it takes is a few injuries and there was always a high risk of an injury crisis since it's no room to rest or recover for the remaining players, leading to even more injuries. Having a small squad has its advantages like it's easy to keep most happy, but it comes with a calculated risk this could happen.

Something isn’t right here. One or two players I get.
Hate the victims but one thing theyre not afraid of is to throw a kid in. When needed.
theres no reason that Harwood Bellis couldn’t have done a job this season. We knew Stones and Ake are injury prone. Dias and Akanji getting older. Baffling why we just let these kids go when they could provide cover and play cup games, letting injury prone, older players rest.

Doubt anythings changed from years of a good injury record. Just years of too many games, no proper summer rest or pre season. No surprise really.
The fact people can’t grasp this is incredible… our players have probably played more games than 95% of players in world football over the last 4 years and people are shocked they’re suddenly getting injured with only 4 weeks rest per year and more and more games each year…

At this rate that 10-12 points we need is looking more and more challenging! Bloody hell, poor Pep. This small squad is coming back to bite us big time!
