Injuries 2025/26 | Kovacic could be ruled out for further 3-4 months (p37)

Not the training Nouri got a bad injury and not fully recovered! Like Foden it’s ankle which do take time plus the new directive to premier referees to let more go means we getting kicked more bookings wise not many get booked when they go through our players! Your a more defensive team means you don’t get kicked as much

Kovacic was an Op, and Marmoush was on International duty - so definitely nothing to do with our training regime for either of those.

Ait-Nouri and Cherki could be - I don’t think we’ve had the detail on their injuries to make a judgement yet.

We do not have any long term injuries as far as I am aware. Around the international window a lot of injuries were being reported but they seem minor now. The Premier League website lists 11 injured players but when you look closer, 6 are training. We have Cherki, Ait-Nouri, Kovacic, Marmoush and Stones who are injured and Stones may even play in the Derby.

See Waspish's comment above re Ait-Nouri. Fabrizio Romano tweeted that Ait-Nouri is out for 5 weeks with an ankle injury. He hurt his ankle vs Spurs so perhaps its the same injury.

The idea that City's current spate of injuries is down to poor training drills is highly unlikely given who we are as a club and the staff we employ. This suggestion says more about the people who make it and their motivation for doing so.

So is it just bad luck?
