In a heartbeat, I think he has said that the way his time with us panned out was the biggest regret he has, i have a feeling he would be a revelation if he was to come back.

It would be great to see his just to watch Pep on the sidelines.

That doesn't make sense to me, think something has been lost in translation. Who takes 5 or 6 weeks to get fit after starting training with the other players? Only thing I can think of is, he's doing non contact stuff mainly on his own for now? Thats if the time scale is correct.
maybe. Could have meant 5/6 weeks out which would put him another 2 weeks, which is the start of the international break, so the fixtures after the end of the international break at the end of November seem about right.

I'm of the opinion Aguero is close to the end,his body isn't built for longevity and his lack of enthusiasm for training is legendary. These constant niggles that have plagued him for the past few years have caught up with him,he is now a player we cannot rely on unfortunately.
Think all our great players of the last 10 years have probably for the good of the team stayed one year too long, except maybe Vinny, though his game time was reduced. Silva had some very good games last year but mainly from memory after the restart. Its understandable we won’t push them out with a year to go, but makes bringingi in replacements, that are good enough to take their places in the team, into the club at the same time difficult. Unless it’s a young player that will bide their time, but those players are unproven and a gamble.
I’d expect us to have identified Aguero’s replacement or have a short list but the idea of bringing them in before he leaves is much easier said than done in reality.

The decision not to get a striker in the window is going to bite us on the arse.

I feel like if we get a striker though the only option is to go all out and get one of the very best.

Not sure there’s much point in buying someone who we know ultimately isn’t going to be good enough to push even an aged Aguero out of the team.

I guess the question is, were we in a position to break the bank to bring in a striker and was the right player available? I know we were linked with Messi but that kind of feels like a wild card deal in terms of how it would be funded.

A week of daily reports of how Liverpool are hard done by with VVD going to be out for the season!

We have 6 first team players out and not a dicky bird in the media wankers.

Correction: Gabriel Jesus has confirmed on his Twitch live stream that the previous timeframe of returning to action was a 'misunderstanding'. He will be back training with #ManCity this week and back on the pitch in 1-2 weeks. [via

there's an international break in 2 weeks, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was out for 4/5 weeks like he said originally.

Although that would bring into question his selection for Brazil in those games...

Selecting him for brazil is a nonsense imo, he could get valuable mins or the change in training might send him home relapsed

Aguero (again). Each injury puts more pressure on the rest of the team, who already look knackered. 2 games per week, 1/3 of the squad out, no time on the training field, and a international tournament next summer. This could be a very, very long couple of seasons for us. I don't think we should be making excuses for that first half performance on Saturday, but bloody hell it might get worse before it gets better.
