Laporte, Mahrez and Gundogan were 3 but who else?

I wonder if any teams will play players this season before any quarantine is up. Find it odd that barely anyone tested positive at the restart and now players are going down with it left, right and centre.

If it’s 6 players and not staff or academy players it’s fairly easy to work out who. Stones cancelo and zinchenko have all picked up mysterious injuries from nowhere, Carson wasn’t on the bench today either when he usually would be. It’s at the discretion of the player if they want to make it public, if they don’t, an unspecified injury is the obvious explanation for their absence.

This has been picked up by Stu Brennan in the MEN today. Apparently City are announcing the players who are positive (Laporte, Gundo & Mahrez) but not not those that have been in contact with family or friends who have symptoms so are having to isolate. Those 3 makes sense as you say due to the "oh its just a knock" explanations.

I would not wish him anything bad as I liked him a lot. Just wondering if he might be one of those players who gets the same injury over and over again and it will eventually reduce his effectiveness. That would be a blow to the German Rags.

I agree. I have no ill-feeling towards Leroy. You can't blame him for moving nearer his family to play for the European Champions during this crazy Covid period. Most of us would have taken the same decision if we had the choice.
That said it is always a gamble when players get a serious injury and we may have dodged a bullet by selling him. For example it's quite clear when you watch Mendy now that he has been physically devastated. He has lost his pace and can't get past his man. His top level career must be under serious threat. Football is a fragile business.
