Institutionalised Bias

Perfectly sums up what most Blues are feeling right now. There's not much point even trying to argue/justify our position when talking to neutrals - no point arguing with stupid!

What puzzles me is this - What is the difference in having Arab owners compared to 1) Yanks who are raping their club to subsidise the family business (Glazers); Yanks that view the club as an investment without really investing in the club (Fenway - albeit pretty much cash neutral from player trading last season); shareholders only interested in building a balance sheet (The Arse); a Russian oligarch trying to buy his way into the establishment - need I go on? Especially when you consider the investment our owners have made in club infrastructure, players and staff right through the club structure and the local community.

Great read, sums up the football media.

569 million reasons we need a kicking, coincidentally the number of worldwide rags!

Amazing the truth is coming out all we ask for is fairness, great article hope the club sees this and takes it further well done for highlighting something we have been witnessing for years

Very good read, something has to be done by the club to fight back. Buy their own TV Station to replay wrong decisions on a loop like Sly do.
Come on City

@Lucky Toma - great effort as ever Ste but you missed out the comparison of our team's cost to Leicester's, when they were playing the rags. Was that BT or Sky? It was as clear an example of bias as you could wish for, when the rags' team cost at least as much as ours. So why pick us? And then there's Klopp coming in for little criticism when his only victory in the last 6 games is a 1-0 win over a League 2 team. Would we be afforded the same lack of scrutiny if that was us?

You also failed to point out the two reasons why we believe their is institutional bias:
1) The fact the the fan-bases of the rags, Liverpool & Arsenal are far higher than ours therefore there is a clear justification (if it can be called that) for (a) not upsetting them and (b) ensuring as many hits as possible from those fan-bases by having a go at the established whipping boy.
2) The PL & CL are deemed to be "less attractive" without teams like the rags and Liverpool competing for those trophies. This is, of course, related to (1). Those teams attract more viewers and therefore more advertising revenue. And to ensure they're in the top 4 of the PL and the CL, someone has to be "helped" to make way. And that's going to be the club with the smallest fan-base,who everyone else loves to hate.
