Christ, I don't remember that many shots at all. 22 shots and no goals, ah well.Reluctant to shoot yet we had 22 goal attempts. Only three teams in this round have taken more shots.
In the league we are averaging 16.5 shots per game this season, with only Brighton having a better average at 16.8.
Last season we averaged 18.2 in the league and were second to Liverpool at 20.8.
City are not afraid to shoot but they do try to choose the moment. It has worked for us over several seasons.
When they first hit the scene I was all about Noel..Let’s hope city never give Liam any crayons.
The build up is permanently slow, and it drives me nuts. Would love to see some quick transitions- just for a change.Average performance against a very strong Inter side who defended very well, but that is to be expected. Inter will give most teams a game in the CL, but we didn't help ourselves with the slow build up, especially in the first half. Second half was better, shame we could n't nick at the end.
That's normal, don't bother reading the comments either - same old rags and dippers spewing out same shit while we go on winning titles.BBC football, every Inter player rated 7 or above, every City player apart from Jack 5 or less
Is it only me that's noticed akanji gets upfront in a great position to cross in the box just off the wing but he never does..The build up is permanently slow, and it drives me nuts. Would love to see some quick transitions- just for a change.
And don't get me started on our woeful corners and set pieces, and throw ins. All a complete waste.
he wouldn't say "gotten" either. ;)When they first hit the scene I was all about Noel..
I was a mid teen-ager..
But as I've gotten older I realise now Noel is a bellend and I like Liam more.
Liam would turn a club shirt design down.
That's the difference..

Should have lost? Lol how the fuck do you work that out?Well that was fucking dreadful. Love to know what our gameplan was tonight as none of the players seemed to know either. We were only ever going to break them down on the flanks where our wingers barely tried to beat a man or supply. We moved the ball slowly and predictably and our pressing out of possession was really poor. Far too easy for Inter to get through and get into attacking positions.
Not as if they put in a defensive masterclass either, they weren't anything out of the ordinary, they just stuck to their task, didnt make mistakes and had a comfortable and relatively trouble free night.
Only positive from that is we didnt lose as we really should have.
We didn't look too clever against Brentford either, we only scored then from a flukey deflection and a long ball from Ederson, we really have to find a way of creating more in games, keeping possession for the sake of it gets us nowhere.
We are extremely shit at corners. The build up is permanently slow, and it drives me nuts. Would love to see some quick transitions- just for a change.

Fuck the BBC.That's normal, don't bother reading the comments either - same old rags and dippers spewing out same shit while we go on winning titles.
The fact we created virtually nothing all game and they had some incredibly good opportunities that they squandered when you'd expect a team far poorer than them to take.Should have lost? Lol how the fuck do you work that out?
Is that what you saw? Inter were far more accomplished than Arsenal. Their movement and the way they rotated throughout the team was intriguing to watch. The centre half Acerbi was defending one minute and leading the line next. Their press was interesting too. They often swarmed towards the ball at points like peak Barca. Not seen many teams do that.Inter replicated Arsenal's tactics from last season and it worked, we were too slow and lacked imagination for most of the game, however we still created massive chances to win, Silva in the first half, Foden twice, and Gundogan with two headers from point blank range, but the finishing was crap, you know it's a frustrating game when Haaland gets no service at all and this was one of them, at least we kept a clean sheet and now we should focus on Arsenal.
