Interest in Grealish ahead of Jan

Havertz was a total flop that Chelsea were desperate to move and they got £65m for him and he is still on over £275k a week. We know Spurs are interested already but I'd expect Villa, Newcastle, etc. to also want him and they have money to spend. If Everton stay up again, they'd probably also love to have him. West Ham is also a club not afraid to splash some cash and he seems like a fit there. There is a lot of money to go around now and if/when City decide to move him on, I don't think it will be difficult to find a suitor.
Havertz wasn't a total flop, he was thoroughly unspectacular at chelsea but he was still very young and had plenty of potential still, wasn't one of the biggest earners in the entire league and the team that wanted him was challenging for a title. They're not comparable situations.

You're naming also rans that might be interested in grealish, teams that aren't paying the kind of money grealish is on and cannot pay that kind of money. You think the notoriously stingy spurs, will willingly pay grealish 100k more than their highest earners? No chance. Villa and newcastle both have very well documented ffp concerns, yet you think they can find £10-15m a year in wages alone for a soon to be 30 year old grealish? Again, no chance.

There's a lot of money in the league but most clubs cannot spend it. It's going to be near impossible to move him on without taking a big hit.

His book value will be £50m at end of the season so we would probably look for that as a fee.
Would then be about who can pay him somewhere close to what he's on now and that's the bigger issue.

I guess we will see. I don't think he'll match his wage at City, but Jack seems like a guy who wants to play and a number of those teams will be able to pay something like £175-200k a week. City should be able to get a fee around £50m and maybe £10m of that goes to Jack himself to cover some lost wages.

29-30 is still in a midfielders prime so a 4-year contract is a pretty safe bet.
