Not trying to slag anyone off, but, while a lot of these are very nice photographs, none of them are particularly interesting are they?

Id have thought an interesting photograph would be something where you’re intrigued to what was going on and had dozens of questions about it.

“What’s he doing?”
“What’s she thinking?”
“I wonder how they got up there?”
“What was happening at that moment?”
“What happened after the picture was taken!”
“What’s the story behind that?”

A city almost totally destroyed apart from a bridge.

My grandad was involved in Operation Market Garden. Not the assault on the bridges but the rescue operation to get the allied troops back.

He rarely ever talked about it but when he did open up it some of the stuff what happened over there was shocking

Bit grim...but im still a wee bit obsessed with 9/11....someone bought a load of CDs in a house sale and found over 2000 photos from 9/11

When you look at that and see the total devastation but then think that only 2,606 died there and COVID-19 has killed 11,477 in New York City (14,636 in NY State)
