City are the only team to win the Premier League having been 2nd at some point in the final afternoon. And we've done it twice.
Me, too! The City fans these days don't know they're born! The first game at Wembley where players wore numbers on their back was the 1933 FA cup final, Everton 3 City 0. Players wore 1-22. "Dixie" Dean played for Everton.
City still hold the highest attendance record for any game In England outside Wembley, 84,569 in March 1934 v Stoke City. City won 1-0 due to an Eric Brook shot from near the corner flag. City went on to win the final beating Portsmouth. (My dad was at Maine Road that day)
City's lowest ever attendance for a league game was in 1965 at Maine Road, City 1 Swindon 2 8,015. Mike Summerbee scored for Swindon. ( I stood on the freezing Scoreboard end with my scarf and rattle)
Kidd only managed one? Who took charge after Mancini was fired? There was Reading Away which I know as I was there and someone at home. Maybe Norwich. So did the other assistant manager when Pep and his number 2 both had covid. Swindon in the FA Cup I think it was.
And Brian Kidd - 1 game, 1 win
Was it only 3 trophy’s before they starting cheating with their Littlewoods windfallBefore 1973 City and Liverpool won the same number of trophies. (8 each)
Since 1990 City have won more than Liverpool. (17 - 14)
So for most of each clubs 120+ year history City have been the more successful club.
(Admittedly in those middle 17 years they smashed us to bits!)
You're not on Eggheads now you know. The correct term is outside of FA Cup finals as some FA Cup finals played prior to Wembley had crowds above City v Stoke.
One had over 100,000 at Stamford Bridge
Always thought it was outside of London tbh!The correct term is outside of FA Cup finals as some FA Cup finals played prior to Wembley had crowds above City v Stoke.

@SpursyCity are the only team to overturn a half time 0-3 deficit with ten men and win 4-3
Scored one in the replay so 7 in totalI know its a old one but some of the yougsters may not know, playing for City, Denis Law once scored 6 goals in a FA cup tie against Luton Town & still ended up on the losing side.
Yep, Its already been pointed out thanks, My old brain lets me down sometimes :-(Scored one in the replay so 7 in total
yeah but, nobody remembers the "pass back to the goalie years"Before 1973 City and Liverpool won the same number of trophies. (8 each)

Well they do… it’s remembered as probably the most boring period of watching top flight English football imaginable. There was more action on the terraces and around the stadium…yeah but, nobody remembers the "pass back to the goalie years"
I think there are lots and lots of rumours but didnt he just shit his knickers at the scale of the job and the mess we were in?What actually happened with Coppell and his 30 odd day managership? I've never heard the full story.
I always found it strange that the scandalous rumours about Coppell surfaced in the same month as the scandalous rumours about Arsene Wenger. There were some scandalous rumours going around at the time but I think it was mainly down to the personal situation regarding his divorce and the fact he just realised it was just the wrong time for him to do such a big task. He was a good manager and probably would have improved us in time, even though he was linked to the dark side I still didn’t mind the appointment.
