I understand your concern. He is improving on that front. He’s a CB, so my expectations of what he can deliver in the attacking sense isn’t high. He’s a great defender. He would also have had a few assists in the UCL/cup comps if Haaland or the forward line finished a chance he created.

Nonetheless, your concern makes sense. However, that’s where others also need to step up. He does the job of keeping things tight on his side so I would like the creative players to equally step up. Regardless, that’s a situation for the top brass to sort. I’m just happy for the lad and a big fan of his (as if that wasn’t obvious haha).

I really like him and think he'd be better playing in the center this evening with Malacia at full-back.

I've always thought that we'll struggle to win the Champions League until we have two full-backs that can offer a genuine attacking threat in the final third, but as you say, that's a situation for those in power to resolve.

Agree with you. Van Dijk looks lost. Well, that’s on Koeman anyway.

I accepted years ago that City would never have a proper LB.
 
Just turned on the France/Netherlands game (was out earlier in the evening). Why aren't France in their normal blue? It hardly clashes with orange, does it? And how the fuck are the Dutch 3 down, considering they've got the bestest CB the world has ever seen in their line up?
 
Pity there are so many out (Dumfries, de Ligt, Botman, de Jong, Gakpo) but even then there is a dearth of creative quality in the middle of the park and out wide.
