I have mixed feelings about it.

On the one hand, I love watching him play and it would be helpful for him to get match minutes in a relatively low pressure situation.

On the other, this is obviously an opportunity for injury in a game that in no way benefits City.

I think I come down on this being good for him and us overall, though.

And not just because two of my son’s three nationalities are playing each other, and one is featuring the best player in the world playing the position his papa played in his misspent youth. ;-)

It's nice to see City getting players fit for internationals, that's the important thing isn't it?

When he comes back injured it'll be fine because at least he got to play for his country.
